Substitute Teacher Pool

 

Hogan Preparatory Academy is in need of substitute teachers that are available on short notice.  We are also in need of substitute teachers that are available for whole and partial days.  Salary is $20/hr.  This is a great opportunity for college students that might have a day or two available each week.  It is ideal for retired teachers and anyone that wants to work with kids but wants the flexibility of choosing the days and hours worked.  Substitutes may restrict the assignments they accept (ex. accept assignments at particular buildings or for certain classrooms), although we hope you will consider accepting a variety of assignments.

 

Substitute Teachers will be considered independent contractors and will receive a 1099 from the district at yearend.  No taxes will be withheld, so taxes will be the responsibility of the Emergency Substitute.   An invoice template will be provided by Hogan Preparatory Academy, and submitted to the finance office for payment.  Payment is typically received within 5-7 business days after submission of invoice.  The requirements are:

• Minimum of 60 college hours
• Approved Missouri Highway Patrol background check (paid for by Hogan Preparatory Academy)
• Missouri Substitute Certificate issued by Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
• Completion of W-9 tax form
• Substitute/contractor must submit an invoice to Hogan for payment (invoice template provided)
